what does GS-R mean exactly?

also, did any 2nd generation (94- i think) come with leather seats?

Learn to use the search feature of AF. but since I'm a nice guy i'll just tell you. I have a '94 GS-R. Basicly its a B18c1 VTEC motor with a 8,100rpm redline. higher HP that the other tegs. better suspension. alloy rims. and they only came in 5 speeds... and the tranys were geared different. Thats the major differences I can think of right now. I believe the GS-R's got leather seats when they switched over to there "new" body style in '98. I have cloth in mine.

GS stands for Grand Sport, not grand series.
GS-R is Grand Sport Race.

I got a GS 99' and u were right it does come with leather, very nice looking too, i wish it was a manual!!!

Yes, some 2 gen's came with leather int. They were called special editions but I'm not sure what years they made them. I've got one and my buddy does too and both of them are 93's and both of them just happen to be green with tan leather. I called the dealer because I too had never seen leather and that's the info I was given. Our cars are 'special'.... :-)

I have a 95 GSR four door limited edition with tan leather. So they made them before 98.
