I'm coming back today with a new WIP.
Well, actually, this Porsche will be rusty and muddy...
:-):-):-) Iknow, I know, many people will say "NO !!!!" a such beautiful car must be treated with respect... And so will I do... Actually, that car is really one of my favorite car and I do like it... I wanted to make that car since long time ago but never get the nuts to start it, and never know how to make it...
Now it's beginning... I started it and really want to finish it... I really like cars (model kits) who had some life. So I will try my best to make this Porsche 356 as nice as I can, even if it will be rusty and muddy...
Then I sprayed a frist mist coat of black mat... to get and old paint aspect, I will not cover totally the car with paint, but at this point, this is not final coat...
I tried my parts now just for double check (first time I heard the trouble on houndreds kits sold...) and part are still perfect of the 3 kits I got: twin grid on the hard top 1600 cabrio, mono-grill on the speedster and the Carrera 2000 coupè... any part has a small (a copule 1/10 mm or more) overlap on the plastic hole, so PE is bigger than the hole to allow you to glue properly.... I'll take shot tomorrow singe I got camera discharged righ now....
Anyway:
-great subjet
-great idea, I'm really interested to see a rusted 356, I like so much this
Hi everybody and thanks for your comments
The kit is fujimi Porsche 356 b/c carrera 2 .
For PE parts, the parts seems Nice but with a small different size with my kit. Specially the grid part which is about 1 mm top small. I ' ll post you pics soon
For the rust I have bad news as i think the vendor did not give me the correct paint, because when i applied instant rust, i had no réaction :-):-):-)
I ll go back in m'y store soon to get more information and correct paint.
Chilly b, your Porsche looks awesome, did you make a wip and do you mind give me link?

Here we are: years passed since I designed the set, so I done a fit test on the 3 P356 kits I own: single and twin grill fit perfect: kits are the following:

I did not do a WIP with my 356. I've just been using it to practice rust techniques. I've been thinking of trying to use it in some kind of diorama but haven't gotten very far with the project. Here's another shot: Image [Reply]
But as I told you before,I think I get fooled by the vendor because when I applied the Instant rust on it, there was no reaction... I think he just sold me some silver color paint and not metallic paint :-):-):-)
Anyway, until I go back in the store to ask him why I do not have any rust results, I started weathering the car...
thanks a lot...
I almost finished to add all details on the exterior, but I made a mistake when I put the PE windscreen wipers... I put it in the wrong direction...
Unfortunately, I found out that I have some missing pieces, the inside panel door. I'm actually moving to another city and I think I forgot these pieces in my old apartment, so I'll have to wait to get all cartons open to find back the missing pieces.... Thanksfully this kit will provide me lot of other pieces to work on !!!!
